Paris hosting an outstanding international conference on  Precision Medicine

March 19th, 2018, Montrouge, FRANCE – The Personalized and Precision Medicine International Conference PEMED 2018 is at its first step this year. PEMED 2018 is chaired by Professor Anne-Marie Caminade, Director of Research Exceptional Class at the CNRS, and head of the “Dendrimers and Heterochemistry” group at the LCC-Toulouse (France). This first edition will be held in Paris from June 25th to June 27th and it will be a very good opportunity to share the last investigations and meet the best experts in the field. As an active and fully engaged member of the PEMED 2018 Organizing Committee, a focus is done on Matthias Schwab who is a member of the scientific committee and a plenary speaker.

Since 2007 Professor Matthias Schwab is chair of Clinical Pharmacology at the University Tuebingen and director of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology, University Hospital Tuebingen and the Dr. Margarete Fischer-Bosch-Institute of Clinical Pharmacology (IKP) at Robert-Bosch-Hospital in Stuttgart, Germany. Throughout his career as international expert in pharmacogenomics, Matthias Schwab received numerous awards such as the Galenus von Pergamon Award, the Robert-Pfleger Research Award or the membership at the National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina Germany. His scientific accomplishments result in more than 300 peer reviewed publications as well as around 19.000 citations and an ISI H-index of 73. Professor Schwab is listed as Thomson Reuters Highly Cited Researcher 2015, 2016/2017 in the rubric “Pharmacology and Toxicology” and serves as Editor-in-Chief of Pharmacogenetics & Genomics as well as Section Editor of Genome Medicine for Pharmacogenomics & Personalized Medicine.

Professor Schwab will take part in PEMED 2018 with a talk on Pharmacogenomics and Epigenetics: Update and Future Directions. In addition, he will chair a workshop on “Pharmacogenomics and Epigenetics”.
